Last chance to enter the giveaway!

And, thank you to Carrie from All Things Dog Blog for giving me the Versatile Blogger Award!

I guess I am supposed to tell you seven things about myself, then pass the award on to fifteen other blogs!

So, here goes:
1. I received a college degree three and a half years ago and have not once used it.

2. I really want almost every dog breed, and I change my favorite every time I am around each breed. One day it Border Collies (which I find at the park), the next a Whippet or Greyhound (at Lure Coursing practice), then a Belgian Tervuren (from my flyball team), etc, etc.

3. I grew up without TV, cooking on a woodstove (which also heated our water and our house), and without a flushing style toilet. Seriously, my childhood resembles most people's grandparents or great grandparents growing up.

4. I like pink. I'll admit it. I especially like bright pink with lime green, or mellow pink with brown.

5. I really dislike cities. I don't like being in them, driving through them, or really anything about them. Going to visit for a day doesn't even appeal much, but I would for sure never be able to live in one.

6. I regularly plan what I would do if I win the lottery but rarely ever play the lottery.

7. I spend way too much time thinking about flyball, training flyball, flyball equipment, flyball tournaments, vehicles I want to make all said flyball stuff easier, and on and on.

Moving on to the fifteen bloggers I want to share this award with (in no particular order):

1. Life With Sofie
2. PawPurry
3. Cowspotdog
4. Greyhounds CAN Sit
5. Just A Pup
6. ManyMuddyPaws
7. Winnie's Dog Blog
8. Gardening with Wyatt
9. Homestead.....From Scratch
10. Nats Dogs
11. Alsea Acres Goat Cheese
12. An English Shepherd
13. BCx4
14. Danes Can Q
15. Honey the Great Dane

Congradulations to everyone, I greatly enjoy reading your blogs (and a lot of other ones as well, but I had to limit this to 15).

And don't forget to comment on any post between Monday and Friday (today) this week to be entered in our leather collar giveaway!

  1. Neat! I love to hear about other people's lives!

    What was your degree in?

  2. It's always cool to hear about people's lives. :) It sounds like your childhood was really neat! Congratulations on the Versatile Blogger award.

  3. Thank you for the award and following my blog! I will post my 7 things tomorrow morning! :-)

  4. Awesome! Thanks so much for the award!

  5. Thank you for the award, now I have to think of the seven thins....

  6. Wow, thinkin' about flyball all the time. Flyball was the first dog activity my first big dog was *good* at -- but then there were less dog activities back in 1990. But Pongo 'kicked butt' at flyball. We called him Iron Man -- he ran first 'cuz he could/would run all the heats & keep his speed up. This was back "in the day" with no box turn training. Pongo could do 5.5 seconds even tho' he slammed head-on into the single-hole box, then had to turn himself around to power back to me. So while I now do agility & tracking & hunting/field & dock jumping as well as rally/obedience, I still have a soft spot in my heart for flyball. [And adjust my schedule so I can practice and compete with the team with Ringo.]

  7. Hi Koira & Pallo - thanks for passing the award on to me and also for introducing yourself! I never realised you were reading my blog - how nice to meet you! :-) My human desperately wanted to try Flyball with me but by the time we started, I was already getting on for a giant doggie (7yrs) and the vet said all that jumping is not really good for my joints at my age, so we had to give it up. Such a shame! But we do lots of other types of training and fun activities - especially dancing (canine freestyle) of course! :-)

By the way, my human was reading your human's list and she said it was freaky how many things she shared - like about the lottery and disliking cities and liking pink!!

  8. Thank you, Thank you! We love reading your blog too. We like your list...we laughed about the lottery plans! We make those too. It usually involves a complete house makeover and some travel...heehee.

  9. Thank you so much for passing on this lovely award to us and your other blogging friends.

I am very honoured. You are very kind.

    Thank you.

Love and licks, Winnie the Greyhound xx

  10. How handy that the award matches your background almost perfectly. It really is attractive in your sidebar. Congrats and thanks for your fun posts. I enjoy living Flyball vicariously through you!

  11. An P.S. I really feel old after that "just got a college degree" comment. LOL Somehow I just have to accept my 50-something status as "the wisdom years" or something grande like that. Ideas?

  12. Congratulations on your award, and thank you very much for passing it on to us:) I'm a bit behind with my blog reading this week so I even missed your giveaway:(

Oh to win the lottery, but like you, I rarely participate. I'm glad dreams are still free though:)

Now I've got something to blog about, passing on my award, thanks again!
